In a wide-ranging interview on Untitled Books, Eduardo Halfon discusses his first novel in English translation, his mixed heritage and nomadic lifestyle, literature as "intellectual crossword", and his recent collaborations with The Drawbridge, including the translation of two stories by his good friend Andrés Neuman.
"To me writing is about posing the question, trying to inch closer to the question, going right up to the riddle itself. I build up a story and then destroy it. Not only because for me literature is a game - albeit a serious one - but because I don't want the final word."
