Vincenzo Ruggiero has won an grant from the European Commission to carry out research on corruption and organized crime in a number of central European and Balkan countries. The project involves research teams based in each country considered and will run for two years.
Meanwhile, his book Understanding Political Violence has now appeared in a Spanish edition, launched in January at the Institute of Contemporary Culture in Barcelona.
