Garry Winogrand (1928–1984) was an American street photographer whose raw documentary portraits from everyday life depicted and shaped the major social issues of the 1960s and '70s. His books include The Animals, Women are Beautiful, Public Relations and the posthumous retrospective Figments from the Real World.
